So, I need a new car. I guess my engine is going to die pretty soon. It bums me out a little because I have put too much money into this car as is. Also, I just paid it off three months ago! My plan was to drive it into the ground and save some money. I mean, I guess I followed that course of action. But it was supposed to take longer than three months.

Oh, well. These things happen.

Here are some more pictures of the trip to Colorado.

I don't know who this old dude is. But he is in a cave. More importantly, he is in the Cave of the Winds located in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Caves, much like mountains, are pretty cool.

Our cave tour guide, A.J., was awesome. He had a pony tail and a very soft voice. He also told some good jokes. The rope ladder in this picture is over 100 years old, according to A.J.

These are stalactites. They are called that because they "hang tight to the ceiling". Conversely, stalagmites are called such because "you might trip over them". By the way, those are both direct quotes from A.J.

This is what a cave looks like. This particular cave is also a nuclear fallout shelter.

This particular formation looks like Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

This is known as the Asian Garden. Apparently, it's SO KAWAII! ^_^

You know, a $2,500 fine is in order for anyone who touches or removes any type of cave growth or formation. I think I owe like $15,000.

This was taken at the Royal Gorge located in Canon City, Colorado. You can get a "slopper" in Canon City. My dad did at a restaurant called "Wing Dingers". That place was awesome. Best wings I have ever had.

Joe, age 14, looks strangely contemplative here. To get the bottom of the Royal Gorge you have to take an elevator/tram down. It just looks like a cage. Joe said, "They put us in cages?!"

This is what it looks like at the bottom. It's a thousand feet to the top.

At the bottom, you get to see the Arkansas River. My dad swears he touched the river before. But he is just a big liar.

You can see a small entrance in the center of this picture. It is rumored that a wild coyote lives in there and only comes out when the moon is full. I just made that up.

This is a shot from the Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world. You can walk across it. We did. But cars can also drive over it, which is a little unnerving because the bridge is built out of wooden planks.

I am standing on a rock at the bottom of Seven Falls. This was actually my favorite place we went. But I don't have all the pictures from that day.

This is the last picture I am posting today. Possibly, forever. There are still, like, 20 pictures. Including an awesome one of an old guy in pink shorts that my dad took. But my uncle needs to send them to me. Until then, this is it.

Last week, I went to Colorado with my dad and my two brothers. I wanted to go because I don't really get a chance to see my uncle that often. And because I think Colorado is really nice. The trip turned out to be pretty good, despite being slightly tiring.

Anyways, I initially asked some people about possibly borrowing a camera for the trip. I decided to just use my uncle's. I guess I didn't want to be responsible for one of my friend's possessions. Plus, I don't really care much for taking pictures, anyways. My dad took the majority of the pictures.

You can look at them, if you want. I still don't have all of them uploaded. But whatever. These pictures cover the first three days in Colorado. There's quite a bit to see.

This picture was taken on a road in the Garden of the Gods.

Justin, me, my dad, and Joe standing roadside. The Garden of the Gods was a pretty scenic place, much like most of Colorado Springs.

This is what is known as a "rock".

In this picture, you can see Pikes Peak (It's the snowcapped mountain.) But more on that later.

One thing I like about Colorado is that you always see mountains in the distance. I like mountains.

A lot of these pictures don't need any commentary. This is one of them. It's just nice scenery.

This thing is known as Balancing Rock. It's known as such because it balances. Obviously. It is located in the Garden of the Gods. Yes, we are still in that place.

My brother, Justin, age 17, is very strong.

Well, I still climbed some rocks. Until a park ranger gave me a STERN talking to!

This hill has an awful lot of trees. By the way, we are now out of the Garden of the Gods and we are driving up Pikes Peak (elevation - 14,115 feet).

If I had to take a guess, I would say this picture was taken from about 8,000 feet.

This water is known as the "Crystal Reservoir". I took this picture because I thought it looked pretty.

It was starting to get slightly cool at this elevation. But we still had like 6,000 feet to go.

Well, there it is. I like when mountains have snow on them.

One more picture of this reservoir.

Jumping ahead a couple thousand feet, we have snow. This picture is kind of cool because you can distinctly see where the treeline ends. Trees stop growing at 12,000 feet above sea level.

At this point, it was like 25 degrees. But I really like snow.

My dad and my uncle are standing on the right-hand side of the road. There is a distinct lack of snow.

Joe is not standing in snow. But he looks like he might be cold.

This is the view from the side of the road on Pikes Peak. We are nearing the top. The climb gets really steep at about this point. There aren't any guard rails on the road, either. It's kind of cool.

Well, this is what it looks like at the very summit of Pikes Peak. It was 18 degrees with about 30 MPH winds that day. Everyone felt light-headed from the thin air except me. I don't know why it didn't bother me.

Another shot from the summit. There is actually a little shop up there. (Click here to see the shop) They have "world-famous" donuts, apparently. They were pretty good. I think it would suck to work in that shop, though. That's quite a commute to make everyday.

There's not much to say about this picture. You can see a lot when you are up that high. That is the last picture from Pikes Peak.

Tomorrow, if I have time, I will post pictures from the Cave of the Winds and the Royal Gorge.

I am currently in Colorado Springs. It is pretty nice here.

So far, everything has been okay. I've basically just eaten a lot. I am okay with that.

Tomorrow is a sight-seeing day. Today would have been a sight-seeing day except it was really foggy. And I don't think it would have been possible to see sights. Instead, I saw Jet Li's Fearless, which was alright. Then, I ate at Sonic for the first time in my life. My good friend and buddy, Eric James Jordan, wanted me to eat a sundae for him. So, I did. It was good.

I hope some of you are okay. So, bye.

Yesterday, I got a haircut. Scott is funny. I went to the bookstore afterwards. I didn't buy anything.

I want to see the new Michel Gondry movie.

I am going to Colorado on October 11th. I want to take pictures because it is really scenic and nice there. However, since the digital camera I use was stolen, I don't know if that will be possible. Unless someone is willing to let me borrow a camera. That would be okay, I guess.

Today, I went to Borders with Eric and James. We were all just kind of walking around, except James was getting down to some Broadway musical that was playing in the background. Then, I saw it - the endcap of my dreams!

Seriously smooth.

Someone at Borders must really like Channel 101's 'Yacht Rock'. I can't blame them.

Yesterday was filled with many of my favorite people in the universe. Yesterday ruled. So I am going to write about it.

BREAKFAST:
I met Erica at the Breakfast Club. I ordered the cinnamon french toast (ie: the only meal Rikc can finish). It was totally a great time. Then, we went to her house and watched Ikiru. I think it was an excellent piece of film making, but as a movie I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to. But it was still good to see it.

LUNCH:
After breakfast and a movie, I went to Moe's Southwest Grill to meet James Damron and Eric James Jordan for lunch. I had never been to Moe's. It was good! I ordered a burrito called the "Homewrecker". And it was massive. I didn't finish mine. Eric and James finished theirs. They win at eating.

DINNER:
It should be noted that I didn't actually eat dinner. I was way too full. But I have a theme and I am sticking with it, okay?

Good.

Anyways. Stephanie called me at some point and told me very exciting news. One of her sources had found the Steven Seagal energy drink! Just a couple weeks ago, we went on an adventure looking for it, but to no avail. So we were collectively pretty pumped.

Anyways, we drove to this gas station to make our purchase. The man that rang us up did not seem very excited by our findings. We decided that it was because he was black. Because, you know, Steven Seagal beats up a lot of black people.

Sweet, sweet nectar...

When we got back to Stephanie's house, we were ready for a life-altering experience. We were ready to inject Steven Seagal juice directly into our bloodstreams!

Then I think we decided we should just drink it instead.

Ready for the ultimate high!

As noted in a previous Livejournal entry, the drink comes in two flavors: ASIAN EXPERIENCE and CHERRY CHARGE. I opted to go first and try the Asian flavored liquid.

Oh! My!!

The flavor was so intense that I spilled some on my shirt and on Stephanie's floor.

The verdict: Guilty of feeling AZN!

Stephanie was up next. She was going to try Cherry Charge because she is already Asian. So she has had, like, a lot of Asian experiences or something.

Ooooh! Ahhh!

And Stephanie takes a drink..

The intense Goji Berry flavor resulted in Stephanie looking totally hilarious. I think you could say that she "got charged".

MIDNIGHT SNACK:
There is no better way to finish a day than with Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Sparks. Well, okay, I am sure there are better ways. But there wasn't yesterday. So, Rikc, Joe, Tony, and Caitlin came over and we had a SF3 tournament.

Tony totally wailed on everyone and won the tournament. Jerk.

But it was a lot of fun, regardless.

So, basically, yesterday was pretty okay.

I don't know anyone named Frank. Also, I do not know this older gentleman. I will probably never see him again. But I am glad that he thinks Frank is alright.

My back is sore. I should stop sleeping on a couch. Justin should stop sleeping in my bed(room).

I've also just realized that I do not have any classes next week. And seeing as I only work mornings, I will have every day available to do things. Whether or not I do things depends on the schedule of others. All I am saying is that I would like to.

But that is next week. It is only Wednesday. This week is a drag.

So I got my oil changed yesterday because it was slightly overdue. Everything was cool, they even gave me a free car wash.

And today when I was driving home from work, I noticed when I am due to get my next oil change. You know how they give you a little sticker that tells you the estimated date and the specific mileage.
